I created the Collector from paper mâché and old newspaper. He embodies the pain that resides within, trying to deal with the overwhelming consequences of the collective indifference to all that is happening around me. Alone I feel powerless to make a difference, yet I futilely seek to create order amidst the chaos. This body of work is the result. Meticulously crafted by collaging and sculpting with disposable packaging, I place my character in various staged scenes representing my internal anguish over environmental degradation.
